Custom Aluminum Products has been named the recipient of GCAMP's inaugural Developing Our Future award at the Valley Industrial Association (VIA) Spark Awards, held at The Abbington in Glen Ellyn, IL on March 12, 2025. This prestigious award recognizes a manufacturing company that goes above and beyond to introduce and inspire the next generation of industry professionals.

Over the past year, Custom Aluminum Products has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to workforce development, welcoming more than 85 students- from 3rd grade through high school- for immersive facility tours. The company also provides paid internships and has taken a groundbreaking step in fully funding college tuition for its interns.

The most impactful contribution to date is the Inventor's Lab, a S.T.E.M.-driven program launched in partnership with the Genoa Public Library. With a generous $75,000 donation, the company equipped the lab with cutting-edge 3D printers, advanced engineering software, engaging S.T.E.M. resources, and invaluable mentorship opportunities from S.T.E.M. professionals- calling it a "strategic investment" in tomorrow's innovators.

"We believe in investing in the future of manufacturing, not just for our company but for the industry as a whole," said Shane Tredup, President of Custom Aluminum Products. "Winning the Developing Our Future award is a testament to our team's passion for inspiring and empowering the next generation."

GCAMP (Greater Chicago Advanced Manufacturing Partnership) created the Developing Our Future Award) to highlight companies making extraordinary contributions to workforce development. Custom Aluminum Products' dedication to hands-on learning and career-building opportunities exemplifies the spirit of this honor.
